The Promised Neverland

- IMPORTANT NOTE: The black character Krone may raise some eyebrows due to her exaggerated design, that some have linked with similarities to racist caricatures. However, she is not the only non-white character (as they are diverse), and she is complex, intelligent, and has a sympathetic backstory. Even so, this problematic point is discussed well on this external link. Another point to note is that the live-action re-make of the Promised Neverland certainly does not meet Equalimedia criteria (including removing diversity that was present in the cast), and is not recommended to be watched, contrarily to the original animated series.

Year 2045. Emma, a 11 year-old, lives in the Grace Field orphanage, with her two best friends Ray and Norman, as well as more than 30 other orphans. They live a happy life until an Orphan named Conny is sent away to be adopted. Emma discovers by accident that they are not, in fact, orphans, but are raised as livestock for demons, who are now ruling the world.
